DIVERSITY, A BUSINESS ISSUE

DIAFORA is a Consultancy Training and Coaching Practice which accompanies companies wishing to maximise the benefits of having a greater level of gender diversity within their management.

DIAFORA CONSULTING works with businesses wishing to understand and remove the impediments to women attaining management posts ([Talent) and to better identify and serve the needs of their female clients (Market).

DIAFORA TRAINING through its training programmes “Leadership” and “Young Female Managers” enables women to develop their power, influence, visibility and impact, whilst its training programme “Managing Difference” aims to help the entire organisation to evolve.

DIAFORA COACHING offers personal coaching to senior women and their managers.

FROM AWARENESS TO TAKING ACTION: WHY A PROACTIVE APPROACH IS NECESSARY

It is unfortunate to note, that despite an increasing number of women attending business schools over the last 30 years, and their massive arrival on the labour market they have failed to achieve (or very rarely have achieved) decision-making jobs, and this, in any country.

With only 15% of women in top management positions in the United States, and some 8% in France, the alarming fact remains – and contrary to perceived wisdom that things will sort themselves out over time – the situation has not improved these last 10 years.

Without the imposition of a concerted effort, which is both structured and flexible over the long term and targeted to improve current systems and behaviours, nothing will change.

THE BUSINESS ISSUE : Why focus on gender ? If, as in France, the principle of equality of opportunity is the responsibility of companies, the main reason to be passionate about the promotion of women today is business.
