Joanne Archibald brings to the Diafora team her expertise in professional and personal development, with a specialisation in intercultural coaching and training. She supports, for example, professionals working across cultures, managers in charge of multicultural teams, and ex-pats going on assignment abroad.

Joanne grew up in the UK and obtained a BA and MA from Cambridge University, after which she embarked upon a rich and varied career in communications that lasted for over 15 years. After some time working in London in theatrical communications, she achieved her dream of moving to Paris. Upon arrival in France, she continued her studies and gained a second Master’s degree from the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. She went on to work in communications in the high-technology industry and then joined a digital communications agency, managing a number of projects for a large portfolio of CAC 40 clients. She then used her expertise to specialise in events communications.

In 2013, Joanne trained in Co-Active coaching, an internationally renowned methodology taught by the Coaches Training Institute. She gained Associate Certified Coach status from the International Coaching Federation in 2017. She also uses a variety of methods from other disciplines to offer her clients bespoke coaching that gives them the tools they need to overcome obstacles to their success, improve their results, and find fulfilment. Joanne has also trained in intercultural coaching for families, including children and teenagers.

In addition to her work as a coach and trainer, Joanne regularly contributes to a number of print and online magazines, writing on topics such as stress and time management, how to build a career with meaning, intercultural collaboration, ex-pat life, and how to find and define your leadership style.

With dual British and French nationality, Joanne is based in Paris and works in both English and French.
